Frankenmuth School District Education: 1,374 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,374 students enrolled in Frankenmuth School District in the 2022-23 school year, 1.9% more than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.1% of them were boys, and 46.9% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 90.6% of the Frankenmuth School District total enrollment.

Frankenmuth School District covers three schools within Saginaw County with its main office in Frankenmuth. Among them, Frankenmuth High School recorded the highest enrollment of 524 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
